How do I upgrade my EX.IO account to Professional Investor (PI) status? 

A PI in Hong Kong, as defined under the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Cap. 571), is an individual or corporation meeting specific financial criteria, allowing access to exclusive financial products with fewer regulatory protections.

Individual Professional Investor Criteria 

• Monthly account statement issued by a custodian (e.g. a bank or licensed corporation) within the past 3 months, showing a portfolio of cash and/or securities valued at least HKD 8 million or its equivalent. 

Corporate Professional Investor Criteria 

• Monthly account statement issued by a custodian (e.g. a bank or licensed corporation) within the past 12 months, showing a portfolio of at least HKD 8 million or its equivalent, or the latest audited financial statement showing total assets of not less than HKD 40 million or its equivalent.
